Choreographing Inhabitable Realities

Founded in 2013 on the island of Hydra, R.I.C.E. is a non-profit initiative bringing together artists, thinkers, and communities to reimagine movement, organization, and human relations in response to the urgencies of our time. Drawing from the field of contemporary choreography, R.I.C.E. supports the creation of dialogues, artworks, and interventions that are embodied, interdisciplinary, and socially attuned.
Now primarily functioning as a production hub, R.I.C.E. remains committed to cultivating spaces—physical and conceptual—for shared inquiry and imagination, with the potential to revive its public gatherings. It works in close collaboration with the Laboratory for Social Choreography at the Kenan Institute for Ethics at Duke University.
